Gentle SIN | Contemporary glass in dialogue with Gothic art: beauty between light and sin
January 18 – May 10, 2026
Curator | Adam Hnojil
The Gentle SIN exhibition explores the theme of beauty as an ambivalent phenomenon – as a means of spiritual elevation and sensual temptation.
Contemporary glass works by artists from SIN Studio Gallery (including Arik Levy, Krištof Kintera, Milan Knížák, Richard Štipl, and Rony Plesl), created using the unique Vitrum Vivum technology, enter into a thoughtful dialogue with medieval works from the AJG collections, which preserve fragments of glass applications.
Here, glass functions as a medium of light, transformation, and tension, referring to historical debates about the role of aesthetics in spiritual art.
The exhibition connects cutting-edge contemporary work with a historical perspective and asks whether beauty is a neutral value or a "mild sin" that oscillates on the edge between faith and sensory experience.

January 18 - May 10, 2026
Curators | Štěpánka Bieleszová, Ladislav Daněk
Permanent Manifestation presents a concentrated selection of key works from the Olomouc Museum of Art's collection of fine art from the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.
The chronologically conceived exhibition traces key trends in post-war art in the broader Central European context – from solitary personalities through abstract, conceptual and action art to the postmodern trends of the 1980s and 1990s.
The exhibition shows art as a living, changing process shaped by political, cultural, and personal experiences, emphasizing the dialogue between the Czech scene and the work of artists from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, and exile.
